Catching up on projects : homemade paper book :

This was the first homemade paper work I did. Made from paper with written down conversations on, the idea being that the paper looked blank but the text was contained within the paper.  I also like the idea that even though somebody can look at the work they have no way of knowing what the text within actually said. Almost like something hiding in plain sight.

Although I like the idea of this the paper I made was a little thin and fragile, that made binding difficult and may make it difficult to use or write on.

These are the first experiment I did with the homemade paper, before making the fragile book :

These practice pages are thicker and I think I experimented with adding a small amount of PVA glue which make is a little more like papermashe.

These pages are more thinner and more like paper I did not add pva glue to them, they I like the textures and different markings they have them, but they are fragile and difficult to write on or bind.

Although they are fragile there might be something in a a book that self destructs when somebody picks it up and try to read it.

Catching up on projects: Homemade paper experiments : Conversation Jar

This is the second homemade paper project I made, it is filled with paper balls that were made out of paper with written down conversations in. I like how the jar keeps them contained almost like some kind of collection.

I also played around with the idea of sheep that were also made out of the same paper with conversations written on them. The idea being that although they fit together they all have different conversations/ ideas that are held within them, but you can't tell just by looking at them.
