Hot Mud

I swirl the mug around

a builders blend

 or at least there should have been.

But.

There’s sludge at the bottom

Thick, and grey, and steaming

 It scrapes,

It scrapes

 The bottom.

Swirl it round

With sugar lumps and stones from ground.

Swish it down

And turn it round.
